On December 14, 2025, the MLG College of Learning, Inc. hosted a dynamic and hands-on Technical Skills Demonstration Day at the MLGCL Multipurpose Hall for our 4th year Education students. This culminating activity and assessment marked the completion of their semester-long technical enhancement subject, focused on four core competencies:

  • Document Processing (MS Word),
  • Electronic Spreadsheet (MS Excel),
  • Electronic Presentation (MS PowerPoint)
  • Cloud Storage Practices (Google Drive)

Why these skills matter?
In today’s classrooms, educators are not only facilitators; they’re organizers, data managers, and content creators. This activity brought those roles to life, helping students demonstrate:

  • MS Word: Professional document creation for lesson plans, activity sheets, and formal communications.
  • MS Excel: Data recording and analysis for grading, attendance tracking, and performance monitoring.
  • MS PowerPoint: Engaging and purposeful lesson presentations aligned to learning objectives.
  • Google Drive: Organized, secure, and collaborative storage habits for teaching resources and school documents.

The Demonstration
Students presented their outputs and workflows before a panel of assessors, showcasing both competence and confidence. Each participant walked through their process; how they structured a document, designed a clear presentation, prepared a spreadsheet with formulas and formatting, and maintained organized repositories in Google Drive. Beyond technical execution, students also demonstrated professionalism: attention to detail, clarity of communication, and alignment to academic standards.

Esteemed Panel of Assessors
The event was honored by a combination of academic leaders and industry professionals who brought diverse perspectives to the evaluation:

  • From the academe:

  1. Mrs. Emma R. Wagas – School-in-Charge, MLG College of Learning, Inc.

Positive Outcomes and Next Steps
The activity was a great success, with positive feedback from the panel of judges and assessors. Many noted the students’ growth in both skill and confidence since the start of the semester. As a next step, the department will continue integrating these tools into teaching practice, encouraging students to refine their workflows and apply them in classroom simulations and practicum.

Congratulations to our 4th year Education students for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. This achievement marks a meaningful step toward becoming future-ready educators—organized, data-savvy, and creatively equipped to lead the modern classroom.
